Dos and Don'ts in Dudhwa

Dudhwa National Park is a sensitive wildlife habitat within the Dudhwa landscape, known for species including tiger, rhinoceros, leopard, barasingha and Bengal florican. Visitors should follow forest-department instructions and responsible eco-tourism practices throughout their visit.

✅ Do’s

• Follow all instructions given by forest officials, guides and safari drivers.
• Carry valid identification and required permits/booking documents.
• Remain inside the authorized safari vehicle unless officials specifically permit otherwise.
• Maintain silence and observe wildlife from a safe distance.
• Drive only on designated safari routes and respect prescribed timings.
• Wear comfortable, neutral-coloured clothing suitable for a forest safari.
• Keep the park clean and take your waste back with you.
• Respect animals, birds, vegetation and their natural habitat.
• Use cameras responsibly without disturbing wildlife.
• Report unusual wildlife incidents, fires or rule violations to forest staff.

• Do not feed, touch, chase, tease or attempt to attract wild animals.
• Do not shout, play loud music, honk unnecessarily or create excessive noise.
• Do not litter or leave plastic, bottles, wrappers or other waste in the forest.
• Do not smoke or light fires inside the protected forest area.
• Do not carry weapons or other prohibited items.
• Do not damage, cut or collect plants, flowers, wood or other natural material.
• Do not leave designated roads or safari tracks.
• Do not get out of the safari vehicle without authorization.
• Do not drive recklessly or pressure the driver to chase wildlife for photographs.
• Do not disturb animals for selfies, photographs or videos.

Dudhwa National Park covers roughly 490 sq km, with an additional buffer area of about 190 sq km, making responsible visitor behaviour particularly important for protecting its ecosystem.
