Rules and Regulations of Dudhwa National Park

Dudhwa National Park is a protected wildlife area and part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. It was notified as a national park in 1977 and became part of a tiger reserve in 1988.

1. Valid Entry Permit: Visitors should enter the permitted tourism zone only with the required permit/booking and comply with instructions issued by Forest Department staff.

8. Fire & Smoking Precautions: Activities that may create a forest-fire risk should be avoided, and applicable Forest Department restrictions must be followed.
9. Stay on Authorized Routes: Visitors should not leave designated safari routes, get down from vehicles without authorization, or enter restricted areas.
10. Photography: Wildlife photography should be conducted without disturbing animals and subject to any current restrictions or permissions imposed by the park authorities.
11. Respect Safari Timings: Entry and exit must follow the safari/permit timings applicable on the date of visit. Do not remain inside the tourism zone beyond the permitted period.
12. Wildlife Sightings Are Not Guaranteed: Dudhwa is a natural forest ecosystem. Tiger, rhino or other wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
13. Obey Applicable Wildlife Laws: Activities such as hunting, capturing wildlife, damaging habitat or removing forest/wildlife material are prohibited under applicable wildlife and forest laws.
14. Rules May Change: Safari routes, zones, timings and access may be changed or temporarily suspended by the competent authorities because of weather, wildlife movement, forest management, safety or other administrative reasons.

The official UP Eco-Tourism site confirms that Dudhwa is a protected ecosystem supporting species including tiger, rhinoceros, leopard, hispid hare and Bengal florican, and that Forest Rest Houses are available within the national park.
